Abstract:
The incidence rate and mortality of oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC) are increasing and younger,which has become a major public health problem worldwide.In recent years,more and more attention has been paid to the relationship between chronic periodontitis(CP) and oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC).Some studies have also found that periodontal disease characterized by chronic inflammation and microbial imbalance is an important risk factor for oral cancer.In this paper,the related research of chronic periodontitis and oral squamous cell carcinoma,the bridge role of periodontal pathogens,cytokines,NF-κB in the two,and the application of anti-inflammatory drugs in oral squamous cell carcinoma are mainly described.
