Abstract:
Objective:To explore the correlation between SE-iFISH detection of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and clinical features and prognosis of breast cancer patients.Methods:From January 2016 to September 2018,a total of 80 breast cancer patients diagnosed in our hospital were selected to test the CTCs level,and analyze the correlation with clinical features.Patients were divided into high level group and low level group according to CTCs level,followed up for 24 months,and Cox regression was used to explore independent risk factors for poor prognosis.Results:Positive rate of CTCs was 100% among patients.The median amount was 8 numbers/6 mL peripheral blood.The average amount was (8.19±2.33) numbers/6 mL peripheral blood.CTCs was higher with lymph node metastasis (P=0.000),higher clinical stage (P=0.011),PR-positive (P=0.029),ER-positive (P=0.028).The 2-year survival rate of the high level group was significantly lower than that of the low level group (53.13% vs 81.25%,P=0.007),and the risk of death in high level group was significantly higher than that of the low level group (P=0.007).The independent risk factors of death were tumor diameter ≥2 cm (OR=1.495,P=0.008),lymph node metastasis (OR=3.109,P=0.025),higher clinical stage (OR=1.040,P=0.001) and CTCs level (OR=1.535,P=0.000).Conclusion:SE-iFISH technology has a good detection rate in the detection of CTCs in breast cancer patients,and the level of CTCs is significantly correlated with the clinical features and prognosis of breast cancer patients.
