Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the expression levels of microRNA Let-7 in tissues of uterine myoma and surrounding normal myometriumin,all cases were classified into different groups according to the number or diameter of myomas,then analyze the relations between microRNA Let-7 and risk factors of myoma recurrence.Methods:The microRNA let-7 expression levels in uterine myoma and surrounding normal myometrium in tissues were detected by quantitative real-time PCR from groups of single or multiple uterine myoma,larger myomas(diameter≥5 cm) or smaller myomas(diameter<5 cm).Results:The expression levels of microRNA let-7 in myoma tissues were slightly weaker than that of surrounding normal myometriumin,but the difference was not significant(P>0.05).Then the expression levels of microRNA let-7 in groups of single myoma and smaller myoma(diameter<5 cm) were higher than of multiple myoma and larger myoma(diameter≥5 cm),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:The number and diameter of myomas are independently risks of recurrence.MicroRNA Let-7 with higher expression in multiple myoma and larger myoma is expected to be an new marker for myoma recurrence.
