Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the effect of immunological enteral nutrition support on clinical efficacy and quality of life in patients with esophageal cancer undergoing chemotherapy.Methods:Data of 83 patients who were diagnosed with esophageal cancer and received paclitaxel+cisplatin (TP) chemotherapy in our hospital from May 2017 to June 2019 and met the study's nano-exclusion criteria were retrospectively selected.Depending on the type of nutritional support used during chemotherapy,thirty-nine patients with routine parenteral nutrition support were classified as parenteral nutrition support (TPN group),44 patients receiving immune enteral nutrition support were classified as immune enteral nutrition support group (IMN group).The effects of immunological enteral nutrition support on clinical efficacy,toxicity,nutritional status and quality of life in patients with chemotherapy for esophageal cancer were evaluated.Results:The total clinical effective rate of the IMN group (59.1% vs 38.5%) was significantly higher than that of the TPN group (P<0.05).Toxic reaction rate above Ш degrees in IMN group was less than TPN group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of nutritional indicators in the TPN group were significantly lower than those before treatment,while those in the IMN group were significantly higher than those in the TPN group,with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).The overall health score and functional area score of the IMN group were higher than that of the TPN group,while the symptom area score was lower than that of the TPN group,and the overall quality of life was better than that of the TPN group,with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).Conclusion:Immune enteral nutrition support can effectively improve the nutritional status of patients undergoing chemotherapy for esophageal cancer,reduce the incidence of toxic reactions,and improve the quality of life and clinical efficacy of patients.
