Abstract:
Objective:To build a plan quality metrics(PQM)assessment script to quantify the treatment plan and verify the feasibility of the script.Methods:A plan quality metrics with 18 submetrics for rectal cancer was established to build a assessment script in the Visual Studio with C#.Treatment plans with different delivery techniques was evaluated and scored by the script program and Plan IQ software respectively.First,the difference between the two evaluation methods was analyzed,and then the scores of the two delivery techniques were compared to verify the feasibility of the script.Results:In Script group and Plan IQ group,the target scores of the VMAT group and the IMRT group were(73.2±16.6)scores,(56.8±14.9)scores and(70.7±19.3)scores,(63.1±11.5)scores,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Scores of OAR were(91.9±3.2)scores,(80.4±8.5)scores and(89.9±5.1)scores,(75.1±11.0)scores,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Total scores were(84.1±8.1)scores,(70.2±10.0)scores and(84.6±5.9)scores,(71.8±10.0)scores,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the comparative analysis of the data,the data outside the consistency interval accounted for <5% of the total.Conclusion:The script can evaluate the quality of treatment plan effectively and objectively,and can be used as the evaluation application for treatment planning system.
