Abstract:
Objective:To study the changes of serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA),squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC) and the cell keratin protein fragment (CYFRA21-1) in patients with esophageal cancer pre&post radio-chemotherapy.Methods:Totally data of 100 patients with esophageal cancer underwent radio-chemotherapy were selected as experimental group,another 26 physical volunteers as control.The serum content of CEA,SCCa and YFRA21-1 were detected by using ELISA before and after radio-chemotherapy of the patients.The level of the marks related to tumor infiltrating degree,TNM stage was analyzed statistically.Results:The levels of serum CEA,SCC,CYFRA21-1 were significantly higher than that of control group before treatment (P<0.05),but they decreased after treatment significantly (P<0.05).However there was no significant difference between the experimental and control group (P>0.05).It was found that the levels of CEA,SCC,CYFRA21-1 were significantly related to TNM stage,tumor infiltration (T4 highest) in patients with esophageal cancer (P<0.05).Conclusion:The level of serum CEA,SCC,CYFRA21-1 is respectively and significantly related with TNM stage,tumor infiltration and rediochemotherapy in patients with esophageal cancer.It might be helpful to make personalized treatment plane and to evaluate its effect for patients with esophageal cancer.
