Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the expression of Ras and TβRII in vulva squamous cell carcinoma(VSCC),and its association with occurrence and developmen of disease. Methods:Immunohistochemistry was conducted to detect the expression of Ras and TβRII in both VSCC (n=25)and normal vulva tissues(n=15),and analyzed the relationship between the expression of Ras,TβRII protein and clinical and pathological data of patients with VSCC.Results:The expression of Ras in VSCC was significantly higher than normal vulva skin tissue and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Ras expression in VSCC tissue of III stage was significantly higher than that of stage I-II(P<0.05).The expression of Ras in cases with lymph node metastasis was higher than those without lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).Ras expression had no statistically significant difference between the poorly and moderately differentiated VSCC and the highly differentiated ones(P>0.05).The expression of TβRII in VSCC was significantly lower than normal vulva skin tissue(P<0.05).TβRII expression in VSCC tissue of III stage was significantly lower than that of stage I-II(P<0.05).The expression of TβRII in the moderately and poorly differentiated VSCC was lower than those well differentiated VSCC(P<0.05).The expression of TβRII in cases with lymph node metastasis was lower than those without lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).The Pearson correlation analysis showed that Ras and TβRII expression was negatively correlated in vulva squamous cell carcinoma. Conclusion:The expression of Ras and TβRII was associated with occurrence and development of VSCC.
