Abstract:
Objective:To study the expression and clinical significance of VEGFR-3 mRNA in breast cancer.Methods:RT-PCR was adopted in detecting the VEGFR-3 mRNA expressions in 60 cases of breast cancer.Take 15 cases of breast fibroadenoma as control. Results:The positive ratio and degree of VEGFR-3 mRNA in breast cancer was higher than the control group.VEGFR-3 mRNA was conspicuously higher in lymph-node-positive group than in lymph-node-negative group. The expression of VEGFR-3 mRNA was positively correlated with axillary lymph node metastasis. There were no statistically significant differences in pathologic features, tumor size and clinical stage. Conclusion:The expression of VEGFR-3 mRNA was higher in breast cancer, and it played an important role in the lymph node metastasis.
