1. Requirements for ethical review of life science and medical research involving human life
According to the requirements of the Regulations on Ethical Review of Life Science and Medical Research Involving Human jointly issued by the National Health Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine on February 18, 2023, when publishing life science and research results involving human life (including the human body itself, human cells, tissues, organs, fluids, microbiota, and fertilized eggs, embryos, and fetuses), this journal shall confirm that the study has been approved by an ethics review committee. Authors must provide relevant proof and should also indicate that the study has obtained informed consent from research participants voluntarily, and the name and approval number of the ethics review committee should be marked in the paper.

2. Ethical requirements for animal experiments
Animal experiment ethics should follow the regulations and standards for animal management and use in Reporting Animal Research and In Vivo Experiments (ARRIVE2.0 guidelines) and Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals. They should also meet the ethical standards set by the relevant ethics committees for laboratory animals, and the study should be approved by the relevant ethics committee. The authors should state in the paper the source of the animals (the name of production institution and the batch number), strain, sex, developmental stage, body mass, feeding site and conditions, and describe the experimental procedures, including the formula and dose of anesthetic drugs, the route of administration, the use of detection methods, surgical procedures, postoperative care and analgesia, and euthanasia methods. The approval number should be marked in the corresponding position in the text.
